Things that scare me
I am scared of many things. Firstly I am frightened of going to the bathroom in the night. I am terrified when my mother has the cane in her hand and is ready to hit me and I am petrified when my father shouts at me. I am extremely afraid of stray dogs. I am also scared when a cat stares at me. I am scared to go to the principal of my school.
I am terrified when it is very silent and I’m the only one there. I am scared of the water in the swimming pool when it goes into my mouth or nose. I am scared of making new friends in a new school. I’m also scared because I might go to hell.

The importance of the United Nations
The United Nations (UN) is an inter-governmental organization responsible for maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and achieving international peace and security. It is the largest, most familiar, most internationally represented and most powerful intergovernmental organization in the world.
What does the UN do? It encourages countries to solve their disputes peacefully, it encourages countries to support human rights and freedoms and it encourages social and economic progress especially for poorer countries in the world. It gives a chance for countries to discuss world problems and co-operate in coming up with solutions. The United Nations is made up of 192 countries from around the world. It is often called the UN. It was set up in 1945 by 50 nations who signed a Charter promising to abide by the aims of the organization. It was meant to provide an opportunity for nations of the world to work together to improve human rights and freedoms, maintain world peace and encourage social and economic progress. The UN was created after World War I to prevent another world war. The UN membership grew significantly following widespread decolonization, beginning in the 1960s.
So we understand the importance of the United Nation because it protects and promotes human rights and the use of diplomacy to prevent conflict.
