My favourite indoor games
There are so many indoor games. Some of them are Chess, Carom, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders and playing cards.
I like Chess the most. It is a popular game all over the world. It is played by two players. The object of the games is to capture the enemy King. The game ends when one player loses his or her King by Checkmate. Therefore this game improves thinking power.
I like Snakes and Ladders also. It is an enjoyable game. Ludo is a popular game too. Counters are moved through a round of dice. Carrom is also an indoor game. It is played by two or four players. There should be a Carrom board. It consists of four corner pockets. We must try to fill the pockets using counters by striking them with a striker. Each player tries to capture as many counters as possible.
These are my favourite indoor games.

The person I admire
The person I admire most is Chess Grandmaster Mikhail Tal. He was born on November 9, 1936 and he died on June 28, 1992. He was a native of Riga, Latvia. He was known as the ‘Magician from Riga’ because he was the craziest chess player ever known. He won many chess tournaments such as six Soviet Championships in 1957 and he also won the Inter-Zonal Championship in 1958.
When the 1960 World Championship began, it was Mikhail Tal versus Mikhail Botvinnik, another famous chess player. Tal won that match with a big lead. Due to bad health, his life ended at the age of 55. Though he died, he is an unforgettable chess player as he left a great place in Chess.
I too hope one day to become a Chess Grandmaster like him and play very aggressive chess. He is the best chess player to me. He is truly a magician and I hope that I will too become a Chess Grandmaster like him.

The importance of Biological Diversity
Can you imagine a world without different species of flora and fauna? A few species of organisms in your surroundings will definitely make you bored and unhappy. Everyone loves a rich biological diversity.

Biological diversity refers to the variety of different species of plants and animals and micro-organisms living on Earth. It includes organisms from the Earth’s different eco-systems including deserts, rainforests, coral reefs, grasslands, tundra and polar ice-caps.
Biological diversity is very important to the well being of our planet. It protects fresh water resources, promotes soil formation and protection. It helps nutrient storage as well as recycling. Biological diversity promotes environmental beauty for recreant and the tourism industry. It also provides more food resources and more medicinal resources also.
However with growing air, water and land pollution on our planet, it is difficult to protect the biological diversity. A number of species of plants and animals have become extinct as a result of the rapid environment changes. The changing climatic conditions that occurred through the years are now harmfully affecting the biological diversity. The growing imbalance in the environment can cause a threat to mankind. Modern technology and constructions are also a reason for this environment destruction. Several inventions have also been proven to be hazardous to the environment.
Therefore it is now the right time for us to take necessary action to protect the environment. A healthy environment is essential for developing a rich biological diversity which in turn protects human beings. It is our duty to protect the richness of biological diversity by building an environment that is secure for all the organisms living on the planet.
