Victoria Falls

Monday, 11 March 2019

Victoria Falls is located in Southern Africa at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is on the Zambezi River. It is 108 m high. It is named after Queen Victoria. It is considered the largest waterfall in the world. Victoria is also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (The smoke that thunders). It was discovered by David Livingstone.
Victoria Falls is the only waterfall on the commonly accepted list of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. The spray from the waterfall rises 400 m into the air. You can always see a rainbow in the daylight. On full moon nights you can see a ‘moonbow’.
