When we talk about great personalities Lord Buddha, Jesus Christ, Mahatma Gandhi are some special examples. Out of the great personalities my favourite is S. W. Hawking.
On January 8, 1942 a little baby boy was born in Oxford City, England. His parents were Frank and Isabel Hawking. They named their one and only son Stephen William. He was a very clever boy and a bright student in his college who passed all his exams with flying colours.
After college, he entered Oxford University. He preferred to learn Physics and selected it for his degree. In the second year of university an unexpected thing happened. He suffered from Motor Neuron Disease. He could not speak, walk or write. Although he suffered from a dangerous disease he did not care about it. He still completed his degree and became a professor. He reached his dream.
He was named as the best scientist of the 21st century. After doing a lot of service to Physics he passed away on March 14, 2018. There is a saying about him, “He made it cool to learn Physics”. Actually he was cool. Suppose if we are suffering from the common cold, we would not go to school or study saying that it is difficult when we are sick. But Hawking did not let his disease stop him. Always remember that the ‘Best never Rest’.
